GENERAL
Summary:
Wait Staff Associates participate in providing a total quality dining service program for our residents.
This includes a thorough understanding of food items available, resident dietary needs, proper serving guidelines, cleanliness expectations, and special diets.
Assist with duties to ensure community meets sanitation standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
General duties include but are not limited to:
cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and dusting the kitchen and dining roomEnsures proper garbage and trash removalAssist residents with seating in the dining roomGreet residents when taking and serving meal selectionsEnsure proper dining room setup and proper table settingKnowledge of table clearing techniques during and after dining serviceResponsible for resetting table during and after dining serviceComplete side work:
napkin folding, stocking and cleaning wait station, refilling condimentsUnderstand menu items and ability to explain preparation methodsProvide a high satisfactory level of customer service to promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere Knowledge of individual diet needs as prescribed by physicianEnsure all meals delivered are garnishedReports to the Cook or Executive Chef any equipment and supplies that are neededEnsures the proper use of equipment and supplies and upholds cleaning and safety standards.
Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all timesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contactsAble to make independent decisionsMust be able to communicate a warm, friendly and caring manner Must be able to follow recipes and menusMust fully understand the importance of reliability and timelinessMust possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensKnowledge of customer service principles and practicesEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Graduate or equivalentEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in serving in an upscale dining environment is preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work in all areas of the communitySubject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and other conditionsUse personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infectionPersonal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoesWear the appropriate hair restraints, all hair is secured off the shoulder, wear the appropriate uniform and slip resistant shoes.
This position is exposed to very hot water, hot oven temperatures, sharp knives and utensils, and broken glass, slippery wet floors and other ordinary kitchen environmental risks, requirements for personal protective equipment are apron, hair net, chef's hat and coat, rubber gloves, hot pads, non-slip shoes, short sleevesSubject to infectious diseases, substances and odorsFollow Safety Policy & ProceduresFT, 11am-7pm, must be able to work weekendsPI239438637About the Company:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
