In this job, you'll help our inventory manager purchase, unpack, stock, count and process all incoming supplies--and as one of the largest vet hospitals in Central Florida, we use a lot of different items! It'd be great if you had experience in a veterinary, pharmacy or healthcare inventory environment, but having worked in a grocery setting dealing with intake, inventory and would also be fine.
You just have to be VERY detail-oriented, highly organized and excited about working in an ever-changing work place that moves at a quick pace.
WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR A CLASSIC WAREHOUSE WORKER WHO PICKS ORDERS AND FORKLIFTS LARGE BOXES AND STOCK.
That experience won't, unfortunately, fit as well in our work environment.
Salary range is between $15-17 per hour.

In this role here are some of the main things you'd be doing:
Inventory Control Work with Inventory Manager to keep accurate records of all veterinary supplies, medications, and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to ensure availability.
Conduct regular audits to identify issues Label inventory stock for easy identification Stock according to inventory turn procedures to minimize loss due to expiration Receiving and Stocking:
Coordinate with Inventory Manager and vendors to place orders for veterinary supplies.
Receive, unpack, log and inspect deliveries to verify the accuracy of items and quantities.
Ensure that each item is labeled and stored in the proper area(s).
Break down boxes and dispose for recycling Communication:
Work closely with Inventory Manager and veterinary staff to understand inventory needs.
Communicate effectively with team members to address urgent supply requirements.
Communicate with vendors and teams to identify and address supply-related issues Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of inventory, including usage and restocking locations Investigate any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and work with Inventory Manager to resolve.
Must be able to safely lift 25 pounds alone, climb step ladders, place boxes in overhead cabinets, also able to stand, crouch and/or kneel repeatedly.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is necessary 1 -2 year of experience in inventory control, preferably in a veterinary or hospital environment is preferred.
