We are immediately seeking a dedicated Insurance Verifcation Specialist to join our Winter Park, FL team! FREE TELEHEALTH SERVICES TO ALL EMPLOYEES! Pay range is $17 to $19 per hour Please note that this NOT a remote position.
It is located in our Call Center in Winter Park, FL.
Prior experience with insurance verification required.

Responsibilities:
The Insurance Verification Benefits Specialist will be responsible for verifying a potential client's insurance benefits and providing an estimated insurance contribution (EIC) to admissions teams and call center.
The Specialist is also responsible for setting up client accounts and transferring insurance benefits into billing databases.
Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:
Core Job Duties Verification of Benefits.
This includes but not limited to contacting the insurance carriers to verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements as defined by the plan.
Accurately utilizing the CRM to communicate benefit information.
Creating data entry into specified reports Effective and timely communication.
Open and constant communication with the admissions, billing and UR departments, along with notifying management of potential insurance trends and/or policy changes Other Required Tasks Collaborate with company leadership to ensure department policies, procedures and operations comply with all local, state, and federal regulatory bodies along with meeting organization standards.
Assists with capture and reporting of insurance record documentation deficiencies as needed.
Performs analytical tasks associated with the resolution of coding and billing errors.
Filing, scanning and uploading of documents into the facility's EMR.
Maintaining records within standards of compliance.
Maintain healthy boundaries Maintain regular contact and open communication with families as needed Demonstrate good strategic and problem-solving skills Ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear and articulate Accept and utilize supervision Address problems noted by supervisor Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs Function well as a team member and contribute positively to the morale of staff Maintain good communication Reporting any concerns to immediate supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
HighSchool diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in benefits verification in behavioral health or medical industry.
Experience in medical billing or medical coding certification or Electronic Health Records a plus Position Competencies Proficiency in insurance benefits application Capable of communicating effectively and timely Demonstrate the ability to provide excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
Demonstrate ability to handle any call situation while on call.
